Stem to Vase Floral Design

Leaning Barn Farms designed this course to help people learn how to pull together beautiful flower arrangements using blooms and greenery like the ones found in the fields and gardens on the farm. An instructor will guide your group through the process of choosing, cutting, and arranging a composition of flowers during this hands on workshop. Not only designed to help build folks knowledge and skill set, this class encourages a supportive, positive enviornment in which everyone can feel connected to their inner artist.

Whether creating a simple, elegant or whimsical arrangement, students will build the confidence to start creating beautiful floral arrangements of their own to display and share.

Floral Vernacular: The Lost Language of Flowers

Discover the Romantic Era with Leaning Barn Farms in our Language of Flowers workshop.

In the past, people often sent messages through flowers and herbs. With each specimen representing a different emotion, folks would share their sentiments of adoration, happiness, love and joy. Friends, and even enemies, would often receive symbolic messages embedded within the arrangements. Perhaps a tender love affair would be pronounced or or a scorned lover would would recieve a break up bouquet.

This workshop is a wonderful experience to share with a loved one, to accompany a book club’s reading of a romantic novel, or even for the romantic soul.

Come and learn the secret language and emotion behind several blossoms and herbs that society once used to convey.
